Your Listening Ear
Everyone in business at some time needs a Listening Ear or even a shoulder to cry on, perhaps for just an hour or so. As you can see from my picture, I’m not in the first flush of youth but can offer you my business experiences from many years. I’ve made mistakes and learnt many lessons so perhaps I can help you avoid the many business obstacles and unravel the red tape we all have to face. Let me be Your Listening Ear, your business agony aunt.
Why “Your Listening Ear”?
Running a small business can be very lonely, especially as a start-up from home. Even with backing from your family, you can often feel isolated without someone to turn to for business advice, help and support. When I first started out, I often wished I had someone to talk to, not connected to either my family or business but an independent business person who could use their experience to help me straighten out my ideas.
Often as you start to talk about your concerns, the answers become clear but having someone listening helps you focus better. One thing I have learnt to do well over the years is listen! Now I want to put that ability plus my business experience to good use to help others.
We may only meet once or twice but if that is enough time to sort out how to move forwards, then that’s great! Hopefully though we’d stay in contact so I can also enjoy your on-going growth and success – it’s not about money – I genuinely want to help.
Mentioning money though, I shall make a charge for a scheduled meeting – £20 per hour and I’ll buy the coffee – double expresso for me!
Please contact me so we can have a chat about how I can help – no obligation involved.

Give me a subject and I’ll write you a poem
This is the title of my book, featured here. It contains about 100 of my daft poems and makes a relaxing read. It’s just £3 plus £1 P&P – please give it a try – it’s available via e-bay from the following link or send me an email I can post a copy to you.

Business Advice for small business and start-ups
About Sue
I started work too many years ago, analysing sausages for David Greggs supermarket chain. It almost put me off sausages for life! I decided I wasn’t cut out for a career in science and turned to accountancy, working up from book-keeping to qualified. In between I tried other work – I ran a junk shop but I think I’ve kept most of the stock; I ran a club and if that made a profit, I probably drank it! I have made mistakes but at least I tried – I don’t have to look back and say “if only”.

The poem you have written about us is amazing. I can only say that it’s an amazing and creative idea and an indescribable talent that you have. Thank you so much once again!
How would you feel if I could print it with your name and put it somewhere near my front desk? Please let me know, I love it!
